Get to Know me: About Erik Larsen

From Gym Fanatic to Super-Fit Family Man

Erik Larsen is a Norwegian exercise and fitness enthusiast known for his “no fluff”, time-efficient, and highly effective workout philosophy. Using his proven methods he’s helped dozens of people reach their fitness goals without ever going to the gym.

By reading this about page you will get to know the owner of this blog and learn about the motivation behind it.

So, who is Erik Larsen then?

The Early Days: Being a Kid Up North

Ever since his first day on this earth, Erik has been an active guy. Growing up in the beautiful city of Bergen in Norway, staying still has never been his “cup of tea”, -something his parents painfully experienced when he at the age of three jumped from the second-floor window allegedly to check how high he could jump.

Surrounded by Norwegian nature, he always found activities to challenge his body. Whether it was climbing trees or rocks, playing in the fields, or looking for crabs by the sea Erik and his friends made sure to be in constant movement.

The Youth Years: Soccer and Injuries

Erik started playing soccer at age six and kept playing at the top level until he seriously injured his knee during practice at age 20. After several attempts to reach a comeback, at age 22 Erik had to retire from soccer due to his bad knee.

This was a big blow for him!

Being a Young Adult: Recovery and Gym Addiction

To fill the gap, Erik started dedicating more of his time to the gym -eventually turning him into a hard-core “gym fanatic”.

It did not take many years before Erik became a known name in the local fitness scene, showing extraordinary dedication and focus to his exercise. Focusing on efficiency, Erik reaped extreme results from his training, gaining loads of praise from both PTs and clients.

Becoming a Grown Man: Family Life and Home Exercise

Fast forward 6 years pumping iron in the gym, Eriks’ first of two sons took his first breath of fresh air… Being a family man, and gym fanatic is a hard combination to live to the fullest, something had to change!

The solution?

Short and effective home workouts! Now, at age 37, Erik is in better shape than ever.

  • Bench press
  • Deadlifts
  • Shoulder press
  • Squats
  • Pull-ups
  • Killer Cardio

The list goes on…

Using his furniture, bodyweight, and a couple of affordable pieces of exercise equipment he has found a way to do twice the amount of exercises that the gym down the road can offer… Erik’s workouts usually last no more than 20-30 minutes, -but they are done using high intensity and several other science-proved techniques to gain maximum effect!

Education and Diplomas: Education by Experience

Unlike most other “exercise experts”, Erik does not hold a certified personal trainer certificate from any of the online personal trainer academies.

He neither:

  • Got a diploma in nutrition science,
  • hold a master’s in “the art of workout”,
  • or is a well-known fitness athlete.

But as you by now must know, what Erik does have is TONS of experience!

By reading his blog you will learn about everything from strength and cardio exercises – to reviews of different home exercise equipment.

Everything shared on his blog is created with one purpose in mind; to help you get in the best shape ever – without ever setting your feet in a gym!

Hopefully, this blog will inspire you and help you kick-start your “new fit life”. If Erik can do it, so can you!
